Job Summary
Supervisor leads and coordinates all aspects of food production including patient trayline service, special functions, and cafeteria operations. Manages production team schedules with the Operations Manager and ensures staffing compliance with time and attendance policies. Oversees supervision of hot and cold food preparation and washing personnel, assigns staff, and adjusts staffing as needed. Monitors daily operations for safety and quality standards and takes corrective action to ensure compliance, including coverage for frontline staff. Participates in process improvement initiatives and collaborates with the management team on daily operations. Responsible for shift assignments (AM/PM) as required, and work on weekends and holidays. Requires Food Safety Management certification and a High school diploma or GED; an AA degree in food service management or CDM is desirable but not required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Food Safety Management certification required
- Minimum three (3) years of progressive culinary or food service leadership experience
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of food safety principles
- Demonstrated customer service excellence and effective written and verbal communication skills
