Job Summary
Manage daily activities to ensure effective operations and communications while coordinating hospital and patient care activities for a safe environment. Supervise, monitor, and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of patient care, including in-home evaluations of field staff, and review nursing care plans to direct necessary modifications. Identify actual or potential problems affecting department operations and take corrective action, while collaborating with patient logistics for placement. Participate in on-call responsibilities and lead or direct professional advisory committees for infection prevention and process improvement, including conducting chart audits. Develop and evaluate continuing education and orientation programs, and communicate improvement opportunities to management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing
- 4 years
- 4 years of experience as a registered nurse in an acute care hospital setting
- Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines
- Knowledge of rules and regulations applicable to the practice of nursing
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of patient rights and laws relative to those rights, such as HIPAA
- Strong clinical data analytic skills measuring process and outcomes in healthcare
- RN - Licensed Registered Nurse
- PA - State of Pennsylvania
- Physical Demands Lift and carry 25 lbs

- patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR
- Work Shift: Weekend Shift
- Work Schedule: Weekend Shift, 1900-0730, SAT/SUN, 3 out of 4 weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Successful completion of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation course or passing score on the challenge exam
- Achieve a passing score on basic proficiency in medication administration exam for external hires
