Job Summary
Ambulatory General Surgery clinic nursing supervisor role overseeing day-to-day operations of nursing staff and activities. Leads a structured nursing care setting, ensuring adherence to Sanford policies, supervising staff, and coordinating patient care across ages. Demonstrates nursing principles, supports human resources processes, assists with budget information, monitors inventory, and implements performance improvement policies. Requires a Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) and active RN licensure in the practice state with BLS; 3 years’ RN experience preferred. Full-time, day shift in the Bismarck/New Salem, ND area with opportunities for upward mobility and staff development; emphasizes leadership, training, change management, safety, and collaboration with medical staff and the public.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
- Current RN license in the state where practice occurs (or multistate licensure under NLC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Three years’ experience as a registered nurse (RN) in a clinical role preferred
- Knowledge of nursing practice act and standards of nursing care
- Ability to maintain certifications and clinical competencies
- Experience with staff management and training
- Ability to manage budgets and inventory as needed
- Experience with performance improvement and process changes
- Familiarity with electronic health records and clinical software
