Job Summary
Assist in developing personalized patient care programs, policies, and procedures while serving as the liaison between administration, nursing management, and staff. Supervise nursing care, treatment, and services during assigned shifts or specific units, monitoring and managing staff through on-the-spot feedback, annual evaluations, and performance counseling. Assume patient care as needed to build meaningful relationships, addressing physical, mental, and emotional needs for successful recovery. Requires current RN licensure, BLS and ACLS certifications, and two years of recent inpatient hospital experience. This role supports Encompass Health's mission as a national leader in post-acute care with over 150 locations.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification to be obtained within one year of starting position
- CRRN certification to be obtained within a year of meeting the eligibility requirements
- Two years of recent experience in an inpatient hospital setting (within the last five years)
- Previous leadership role, such as charge nurse or lead capacity, where you were responsible for interim reporting, issue resolution, setting direction, and having accountability for patient and staff results
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred
