Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day operations of the Non-Gaming Audit and Accounting Department, leading staff through training and ensuring accurate daily audit procedures and revenue recording for Hotel, Food and Beverage, and Retail. Investigate and resolve audit anomalies, cash variances, and revenue discrepancies while establishing and executing cash handling and banking standards. Collaborate with management to develop internal controls and evaluate existing procedures for improved efficiency and quality. Requires a degree or equivalent experience, proficiency in Infogenesis POS and Excel, and a Nevada Gaming license. Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays are required.
Required Qualifications
- Two to four-year college degree or equivalent education/experience
- A minimum of two years' experience in related supervision position or five years of hotel cashiering and audit associate experience
- Ability to perform critical analysis and manage wide range of information
- Operational knowledge of Lodging Management and Infogenesis POS systems
- Ability to delegate, manage manpower and organize complex projects and establishes priorities consistent with SMGHA and department/hotel objectives
- Able to communicate to both, guests, and fellow team members, professionally and positively
- Proficiency in Excel and other Windows Office applications
- Ability to obtain/renew all government required licenses or certification, specifically a Nevada Gaming license
- Consistent and regular attendance
- Ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols, with strong attention to detail
- Flexible work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
