Job Summary
Lead a Module Assembly Operations Cell on the 2nd shift (Monday-Thursday, 4PM-2AM), directing hourly employees in the assembly of jet engine components for commercial and military product families. Own business objectives including MRP execution, production ramp rates, manpower planning, first-pass yield, and process certification while implementing Lean techniques to improve quality, efficiency, and cost. Provide mentorship to multi-skilled team members, conduct annual performance reviews, hold toolbox meetings, and ensure safe, environmentally sound work through cross-training strategies and ergonomic risk reduction. Execute organizational goals with clear communication and policy application.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- Bachelors degree and minimum 2 years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, continuous improvement/process improvement or similar environment
- Associate's degree and 4 or more years experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, continuous improvement/process improvement or similar environment
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent and 6 or more years experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, continuous improvement/process improvement or similar environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Working knowledge of shop practices, processes and procedures
- Monday - Thursday 4PM - 2AM
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated skill and success in team leadership, facilitation & coaching skills
- Working knowledge of new product / process technologies
- SAP, SOLUMINA and SFWF experience
- Understanding of the QN system and required actions
- Operations experience and understanding of material flow
- Engine/component assembly experience and working knowledge of assembly practices, processes, and procedures
