Job Summary
Plan and communicate work for the mill group while ensuring compliance with safety standards and government regulations. Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to crew members, holding everyone accountable for safety and performance targets. Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Geology, Environment, and UG Operations to address site-wide issues. Perform workplace inspections, report daily work progress, and conduct monthly HS meetings. Develop detailed understanding of process flow sheets including grinding, flotation, CIL, and elutions. Fill monthly compliance records and execute any other tasks directed by the direct supervisor. This role supports mill training activities at Young-Davidson, a low-cost underground gold mine in Ontario.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years' supervisory experience in milling operations
- Supervisory and mill common core
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Computer proficient
- Good communication skills
- Strong leadership abilities
Desired Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in mining related field
- Qualified as train the trainer
