Job Summary
Supervisor of the SFA Mechanical Engineering Team focusing on day-to-day execution, defining objectives, delegating to subordinates, mentoring the team, and ensuring efficient operation. Responsible for managing the workflow of the SFA Engineering Support Team, monitoring department KPIs (speed and quality), generating weekly reports on bandwidth and usage, and managing BOMs and drawings for custom HVAC equipment while considering customer requirements and design principles. Interfaces with Operations at the manufacturing facility via in-person, phone, MS Teams, and email to resolve design issues during final detailing and production. Includes management and maintenance of BOMs/drawings across multiple projects from preliminary to final production. Travel less than 10%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an engineering field
- Punctuality and regular attendance; availability during set work schedule & timely completion of assignments / goals / OKRs
- Ability to use a personal computer and job-related software
- Strong organization skills, ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong team building skills
- Timely, accurate responses to requests for design information and drawings
- Organization of drawings and documentation for efficient reference
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrating ethics and integrity
- Must be action and detail-oriented with strong problem resolution, analysis, & decision-making skills
