Job Summary
Lead a motivated mechanical maintenance team in a paper mill, running production, managing people, and handling emergencies as the on-site authority during shifts, including nights and weekends. Coach employees to ensure maximum performance, support Health & Safety programs, and maintain effective predictive and preventative maintenance programs. Monitor spare part inventories, record maintenance activities, and report on equipment status at weekly meetings. Perform weekend duty as required. This role reports to the Superintendent – Mechanical within Northern Ontario.
Required Qualifications
- College diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years supervisory experience in a related field
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Reliable and strong work ethic
- Perform weekend duty as required
