Job Summary
Direct non-exempt employees in print production, bindery finishing, or shipping and receiving operations. Review production schedules, material, and manpower resources to assign staff and maximize output objectives while maintaining quality. Inform teams of production and material problems, coordinating with support groups to resolve schedule impacts. Establish and modify operational methods by recommending changes in materials, equipment, and procedures. Maintain reports, records, and production documentation reflecting schedules and performance. Exercise discretion in task completion under minimal supervision. Requires 3–5 years leadership experience and effective communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- 3 - 5 years demonstrated leadership experience
- Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Flexible, proactive, self-starter with proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
- Effective communication, coaching and interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence across many levels of the organization & successfully lead others through change
- Ability to work closely with customers (effective communication and partnership to resolve issues and ensure satisfaction)
- Ability to work closely with crews (build effective working relationships to lead, engage and hold accountable)
- Ability to work closely with other departments (working across boundaries with a holistic approach)
- Willingness to hold self and others accountable for individual and team business results and behaviors
