Job Summary
Plans and supervising the overall production activities of a plant ensuring compliance to global standards. Responsible for coordinating and supervising the activities of production workers to ensure efficient and timely production while maintaining quality standards and safety protocols. Monitors daily operations to identify and resolve problem areas relating to staffing, scheduling, tooling, EHS, quality and production line arrangement. Lead and coordinate production schedules to meet customer demand and production targets. Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications. Allocate resources effectively, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to optimize production output. Training and development, EHS compliance. Liaise with engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance to coordinate production activities and resolve operational issues. Ensure customer satisfaction needs are met—lead time, on-time delivery, quality of product. Ensure proper manpower levels to support demand; responsible for team development and discipline. Drive cost reductions through lean and 6 Sigma programs. Oversee departmental audits like ISO, QMS.
Required Qualifications
- BE in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
- Lean / 6 Sigma certifications
- 10-13 years of experience
- Legal authorization to work in the US and not require sponsorship now or in the future
- Knowledge on production processes, machinery, and equipment used in manufacturing
- Knowledge on SAP
- Effective communication with shopfloor employees and cross functional departments
