SUPERVISOR MANUFACTURING 3rd shift Compounding (5643)

Job Summary
Oversee 3rd shift compounding operations by supervising batch/blend processing, weighing, and bulk chemical tank unloading to meet quality, safety, and productivity requirements. Assign compounding technicians duties, adjust work procedures, and ensure timely batch record documentation and closeout. Monitor floor presence for procedural adherence, enforce cGMPs and safety rules, and investigate incidents affecting batch release or safety. Resolve work problems, analyze process data for continuous improvement, and coordinate with Planning and Manufacturing to maintain customer service goals. Prepare personnel evaluations, manage hiring and discharge, and develop corrective action plans for deviations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree or bachelor's degree in chemical engineering
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in manufacturing or chemical processing
- Two (2) years' supervisory experience
- Ability to read, understand, interpret and implement technical writing instructions
- Possess a forklift certification or the ability to obtain a certification
- Ability to work on any shift and occasional weekend shift if needed
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree or bachelor's degree in chemical engineering is preferred
- Demonstrated supervisory and administrative skills
- Demonstrated leadership and management traits include the ability to motivate people while engendering their respect and support
- Proficient with MS Office products
- SAP or ERP knowledge preferred
- Strong math and calculating skills
- Experience with PLC controlled batch and or blend processing operations
- Experience in the personal care industry
