Job Summary
Schedule and direct maintenance employees to install, test, repair, and adjust equipment while troubleshooting work problems and driving root cause analysis for downtime. Develop and maintain preventative maintenance strategies for electrical systems, HVAC, and ammonia systems, monitoring completion in the CMMS. Lead staff meetings, coach mechanics, and appraise performance to ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, SQF, and FSMA regulations. Collaborate with production teams to supply manpower for emergent equipment fixes and improve production efficiency using lean tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or two year degree with equivalent experience
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a front-line supervisor
- Minimum 5 years experience in all phases of plant and equipment maintenance
- Extremely high degree of accuracy and experience with electrical systems
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration
- Experience with high pressure boilers
- Experience with pneumatics
- Experience with blueprints
- Experience with packaging equipment
- Ability to communicate accurately and clearly with both oral and written materials
- Technical understanding of manufacturing equipment and maintenance
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more with assistance
- Must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by Company policy
- Must be willing and able to work outside and/or in adverse temperatures which could include extreme heat, cold, and humidity
- Must be willing and able to be exposed to vibrations, chemicals used in operations, fumes and food allergens
- Must be willing and able to work in confined and dark spaces
- Must be willing and able to work at heights in excess of 18 feet
- Must be available for additional unscheduled time after hours and on weekends
