Job Summary
Maintenance Supervisor for a single-family home maintenance department. Responsibilities include supervising a team of maintenance technicians, monitoring market maintenance expenditures to balance financial performance with resident satisfaction, collaborating with office and property management staff to drive proactive teamwork, coordinating and onboarding local contractors as needed, conducting field visits to resolve complex resident service issues, and recruiting, hiring, and training maintenance staff for the regional team. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, OSHA 10, and proven residential maintenance and supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of residential construction and mechanical systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, pool, appliances), proficiency with basic software/devices, and excellent communication and organizational skills. Valid driver’s license and insurance; EPA Type I/II HVAC and CPO certifications are a plus; willingness to work weekends/holidays as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- OSHA 10 certification (required within 90 days for new hires)
- Proven supervisory experience in maintenance/construction/renovation
- Advanced knowledge of residential construction and mechanical systems
- Ability to perform general residential maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, sheetrock, pool, appliances
- Ability to read budgets and perform basic math
- Current driver’s license and automobile insurance
- Multi-lingual is a plus; strong communication skills
- EPA Certification Type I and II HVAC Certification and CPO certification are plus
