Job Summary
Maintenance Supervisor responsible for all maintenance activities in the shop and pit, coordinating trades, schedule execution, continuous improvement, and staffing to meet company standards, following a 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 days off cycle. The role requires strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, ability to coordinate efforts of others in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction, and collaboration with a team. Key duties include troubleshooting equipment failures to determine root cause, overseeing quality maintenance and repair of mine equipment to improve availability and reliability, managing daily/weekly work schedules within budget using Short Interval Controls, ensuring Preventative Maintenance compliance, supervising contractors and employees, evaluating performance, developing schedules, sourcing maintenance supplies within budget, managing vacation/ overtime, and tracking KPIs such as downtime hours and schedule compliance. The role emphasizes safety programs, adherence to health and safety policies, and continuous improvement, with a focus on technology use and team development.
Required Qualifications
- Trade certification, technical diploma, or degree in a related field
- Minimum five years mining/industrial experience in maintenance and maintenance reliability in an industrial environment
- Experience supervising or leading a team
- Strong digital literacy and proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
- Pre-employment drug screen and three professional references
