Job Summary
Lead and supervise Receiving, Inventory, and Shipping activities in a warehouse setting. Oversee daily put-away, cycle counting, picking, and ensuring receipts and inter-org transfers are processed on the same day. Maintain inventory accuracy above 99% across sub-locations; analyze discrepancies and implement preventative measures. Assign work based on skill sets and training, manage labor levels and safety compliance, and provide training and guidance. Collaborate with Quality, Sales, Engineering, and Assembly to ensure coordinated logistics operations. Drive safety initiatives, participate in Continuous Improvement projects, sustain 5S standards, and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and ISO procedures. Additional duties include problem diagnosis, troubleshooting, and cross-functional communication to support timely task completion and operational effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years’ experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or related field
- 1+ years of experience leading a team
- Range access (must have)
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) experience
- Oracle experience
- Forklift operation experience
- Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- English verbal and written communication proficiency
- Ability to work with other departments (Quality, Sales, Engineering, Assembly)
- Knowledge of safety guidelines and OSHA/EPA regulations
- Experience with 5S and continuous improvement initiatives
- Proven track record of inventory accuracy and cycle counting
- Experience with inventory control and shipping/receiving processes
- Ability to train and supervise staff
- Ability to manage workflow and coordinate cross-functional activities
- Proactive safety culture development
- Experience in analyzing and diagnosing problems to prevent downtime
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a non-exempt, shift-based environment
- Proficiency with ERP/Oracle and general warehouse management systems
