Job Summary
Oversee the laboratory sections as the Supervisor Laboratory Technical on the Night Shift, including scheduling staff, directing work, training, counseling, performance appraisals, and policy development. Supervise maintenance of instruments, assist with implementation of new testing/methodologies, ensure quality control and safety compliance, and serve as a resource for personnel. May perform or supervise tests within the laboratory sections and assume Director responsibilities in their absence. Requires a Bachelor's degree in health sciences/Medical Technology, a current Clinical Laboratory Scientist license, BLS/Healthcare Provider status preferred, and at least five years of hospital lab experience with a minimum of three years in leadership; duties also include quality assurance, documentation, and ensuring timely turnaround times.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in health sciences, Medical Technology, or the equivalent is required.
- Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist license.
- Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association standards preferred.
- Five years hospital laboratory experience in General Laboratory testing including methodological details and quality control is required.
- Minimum of three years of leadership (coordinator, lead, supervisor, or manager) experience is required.
