Job Summary
Supervisor, Lab Pathology leads and coordinates laboratory operations at Physicians Regional Pine Ridge, overseeing staffing, scheduling, training, quality control, supply management, regulatory compliance (CAP, CLIA, Joint Commission), and collaboration with clinical teams to ensure timely, accurate patient diagnoses. The role calls for hands-on technical testing as needed, develops staff through coaching and performance evaluations, monitors equipment, supports budgeting and cost-effective procurement, and champions continuous process improvements within a highly collaborative pathology team.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or higher preferred
- MLS - Medical Lab Scientist (Formally MT Certification) through ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification agency required
