Job Summary

Oversee daily IVF lab operations by performing procedures with the team, managing staffing and scheduling, and troubleshooting technical issues. Implement clinical and environmental standards while conducting inventory management, equipment maintenance, and staff onboarding. Perform competency evaluations and support the Lab Director with accreditation and compliance activities to ensure high-quality patient care. Maintain adherence to Joint Commission requirements, safety protocols, and local regulatory standards. Assist in fostering effective team relationships and staying current with new laboratory technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a biologic field
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in clinical embryology
  • Knowledge and in-depth understanding of chemical, biological or clinical laboratory science and medical technology
  • Knowledge and proficiency in all clinical IVF procedures, including egg retrieval, sperm processing (including urologic specimens), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), embryo biopsy, embryo and gamete cryopreservation and warming and embryo transfer
  • Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility
  • Knowledge of new technologies (in specific field) and maintain and stay abreast of updates and changes

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in biological science preferred
  • Technical Supervisor (TS) certification by the American Board of Bioanalysis (ABB) preferred but not required
