Supervisor - Inventory Control

Job Summary
Supervise inventory control clerks, supply room personnel, and return goods coordinators while developing procedures that improve workflow, accuracy, and compliance. Lead multi-site inventory management for raw materials, finished goods, and consignment locations, overseeing cycle counting, month-end, and year-end processes. Support production scheduling and line configuration to maximize throughput, reduce downtime, and meet customer requirements. Develop annual SKU forecasts in JD Edwards and maintain product data management processes across branch plants. Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and provide coaching to drive accountability and continuous improvement. This role supports manufacturing operations at Marion, Bristol, and Westfield facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline
- Minimum of six years of direct inventory management and planning experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn concepts into actionable plans
- Proven ability to lead through influence across departments and levels of the organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience with JD Edwards or similar database/ERP systems
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
- The role may require time on the production floor
- The ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or similar supply chain designation
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent continuous improvement experience
