Job Summary
Supervision and guidance of distribution center inventory teams to meet or exceed goals, with responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, directing work, and performance appraisals. Oversees cycle counting, product transfers, inventory balances and audits, invoicing, and cross-functional coordination with other departments. Serves as main point of contact for corporate inquiries, customers, and vendors. Requires 3+ years of inventory/operational leadership and a Bachelor's degree (preferred). Strong writing, reading, and communication skills, plus analytical and mathematical abilities; prior warehouse or logistics experience is preferred. The role emphasizes leadership, policy execution, and continuous improvement within Mattel’s inventory control operations.
Required Qualifications
- Three or more year of experience in an inventory or operational leadership role
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Able to collaborate with staff at all levels and locations, customers, and vendors.
- Strong writing skills.
- Strong reading skills.
- Strong oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
- Strong mathematic skills- ability to calculate figures such as percentages, volume, cost, time.
- Experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred
