Supervisor - Inside Sales (Utilities)

Job Summary
Supervise inside sales and counter personnel by coaching staff on order entry, quotations, margin enhancement, and communication etiquette. Lead team workload distribution, verify attendance, manage hiring, and guide performance appraisals and disciplinary actions. Analyze sales trends to inform branch action plans, optimize productivity, and serve as the liaison for supplier return authorizations. Direct credit management for extensions, collections, and account receivable claims. Provide product training for the team and vendors while maintaining positive morale and delivering leadership from branch management. Requires 5+ years inside sales experience, 2 years supervision, and 3 years electrical experience with 0-25% travel.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of inside sales experience
- Knowledge of business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records and other office procedures and terminology
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- Effective time management
- Demonstrate teamwork, leadership, and flexibility
- Ability to travel 0% - 25%
