Job Summary
Complete month-end accounting and journal entries for gaming and non-gaming revenues while ensuring daily audit work and monthly inventories comply with established standards. Research and resolve variances found during audits, manage a team of Auditors and Accounts Receivable Representatives, and ensure daily taxes and report distributions meet State regulations. Supervise daily department activities, delegate tasks, and direct others to meet deadlines while enforcing company policies and conducting performance reviews. Interview candidates for new hires, address team member concerns, and conduct skip-level and monthly staff meetings. Develop staff skills to enhance department effectiveness and manage resources to eliminate excess costs. Maintain a positive attitude, address stressful situations with tact, and adhere to Wind Creek's Compulsive and Problem Gambling Plan and PGCB rules. Work varied shifts including weekends and holidays in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively in a positive/upbeat fashion utilizing English; both in oral and written form
- Interpersonal skills with focused attention on guest needs to deal effectively with all business contacts
- Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Wind Creek appearance standards
- consistent adherence to Wind Creek's customer service standards
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related field AND one (1) year relevant experience in income control
- two (2) years supervisory experience in an income control position
- four (4) years' experience in the Casino Accounting Department with Wind Creek Hospitality
- Physical ability to access all areas of the property
- Ability to withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction, work indoors, outdoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to CRT fatigue, noise, dust, cigarette smoke
- Ability to lift or carry a minimum of 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks assigned
- Ability to work with others, communicate well, receive direction; review your own work
- Ability to address stressful situations with clients with dignity and the utmost tact and politeness
- Must be able to work with others, communicate well and receive direction when needed to achieve department goals and objectives
- Must be able to qualify for, apply for and obtain a Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board license if required
