Supervisor Imaging Tech Operations

Job Summary

Oversee specialized, administrative, and regulatory operations to ensure seamless, patient-centered service delivery. Champion your team by advocating for their needs directly to leadership, navigating challenging conversations, and serving as an educator to enhance understanding of patient, staff, and organizational needs. Manage team performance through clear communication, strategic hiring, and comprehensive training initiatives while leveraging expertise in digital imaging applications such as PACS, RIS, and EMR. Ensure proper operation of radiology diagnostic equipment and adherence to radiation safety protocols. This role requires one year of supervisor experience and a formal radiologic technology degree, with a focus on supporting Dignity Health Advanced Imaging's goal of providing top-quality care across 23 California locations.

Required Qualifications

  • Other Satisfactory completion of a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent to an AMA Technologic program
  • One (1) year of supervisor or lead experience
  • One of the following: Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Medical Radiographer: CA, Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography, Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology, Registered Technologist Mammography
  • Current BLS through American Heart Association
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology for imaging, proper operation of and care of radiology diagnostic equipment, and radiation safety
  • Expertise in use of digital imaging applications such as PACS, RIS, EMR and other technical applications to support imaging modalities

Desired Qualifications

  • Three (3) years experience as a technologist
  • One (1) year experience in an outpatient environment
  • Bachelors of Science in Health Management or Business Administration
  • Billing and coding experience and understanding of radiology exams and procedures
