Job Summary
Manage the tool department by working closely with management to meet sales objectives and staffing needs while conducting performance reviews for team members. Provide product knowledge and assist customers in ordering specialized merchandise, including recommending accessories and resolving difficult service issues. Train new hires and coach staff on selling techniques, merchandising, and inventory cycle activities. Handle routine telephone inquiries and perform floor maintenance, ensuring safekeeping of merchandise and proper display standards. Move material using forklifts and other equipment to support resets and reconstruction projects.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of Stihl and Dewalt products
- Knowledge of retail floor sales techniques
- Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
- Ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers
- Ability to resolve difficult or stressful customer service issues
- Demonstrated teamwork
- Must be able to work majority of shift standing
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Exposure to visual merchandising and product placement techniques
