Job Summary
Collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop, refine, and implement grade-level-specific curriculum aligned with educational standards. Provide guidance and mentorship to instructional staff, lead team meetings to discuss student progress, and utilize assessment data to monitor learning and develop targeted intervention plans. Model best practices in differentiated instruction and technology integration while conducting student and teacher observations. Establish open communication with families through regular updates, organize parent meetings, and serve as a liaison for community partnerships. Coordinate grade-level activities and field trips, manage procurement of instructional materials, and assist in staff recruitment and evaluation. Proctor state test sites as needed and regulate level two discipline in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct. This role includes up to 50% teaching responsibilities and requires attending ARDs as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience
- Previous leadership experience in a virtual academic setting
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment practices
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities
- Proficiency in using virtual learning platforms and educational technology
- Proven experience working independently with minimal supervision, including the ability to manage a digital task list and maintain a stable remote (home-office) infrastructure
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience using the Google Workspace suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) in a professional or academic setting
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas via written channels (Email, Google Chat, and Document Comments) with high clarity and low ambiguity
- Access to a private, secure, high-speed internet connection with a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Education or a relevant field
- Valid Texas teaching certification
- Up to 50% teaching responsibilities
- Attend ARDs as assigned
- Proctor in-person state test sites as needed
