Job Summary
Manages and ensures efficient construction of General Construction (GC), Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing projects across the facility; reviews construction documents; coordinates with Facilities staff and vendors; ensures compliance with NYC Building Code, DOH and applicable standards; oversees CMMS data entry and project closeout; participates in budgeting and procurement; leads field coordination, vendor selection, and scheduling for healthcare facility projects; provides design and construction support to NYPH departments; requires on-site presence and 7-10 years of supervision experience in large healthcare settings; day shift, full-time position based at NewYork-Presbyterian / Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 7-10 years construction supervision in a healthcare center or similar
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Knowledge in the use of CMMS systems to organize and track staff work performance
