Job Summary
Manage and ensure efficient construction of General Construction, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing projects and repairs throughout the facility. Review construction documents, supervise projects for the Office of Engineering Facilities Operations, and coordinate activities with Facilities and Hospital staff. Ensure compliance with NYC Building Code, DOH, and hospital standards while surveying construction areas prior to and after work. Maintain material supplies, participate in vendor selection, and prepare purchase requisitions. Review completed job orders, ensure work is captured on the CMMS system, and attend weekly scheduling meetings. Prepare departmental status reports, track operating budgets, and manage BID proposals. Available 24/7 via pager with on-site presence required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 7-10 years construction supervision in major healthcare center of other organization with similar responsibilities
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Knowledge in the use of CMMS systems to organize and track staff work performance
- Available 24/7 via pager
- Must be able to live within a commutable distance to NYP
