Supervisor, Freight Operations

Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations, developing strategic work procedures to meet evolving departmental demands. Evaluate, manage, and assign workloads while supervising hourly staff across various operations and acting as the primary point of contact for workplace concerns. Ensure production goals are met by managing tonnage, payroll, and administrative functions, and plan employee schedules to lower costs. Enforce all company, FMCSR, OSHA, CCMTA, NSC, and DOT policies to optimize network performance and ensure customer freight is processed, handled, loaded, and delivered timely and damage free. Coach employees on proper techniques, conduct evaluations, and make recommendations regarding hiring, suspension, and termination. Minimize shipment rehandles by prioritizing direct loading and headloads while maintaining quality standards. This role requires lifting objects up to 50 lbs, working extended periods on non-climate-controlled loading docks, and operating outside in inclement weather.
