Job Summary
Supervisor oversees food service operations at military dining facilities under management direction, coordinating routine activities of workers and service staff. Reports on-site to management, ensuring contract compliance and government regulations. Responsible for managing scheduling, time cards, inventory, and budgets; supervising staff and subcontractors; enforcing safety, quality control, and process improvements; conducting employee performance evaluations through payroll systems; and facilitating AbilityOne interview processes and related documentation. Duties include maintaining safety programs, training in operating equipment and vehicles, and ensuring adherence to policies, with potential coordination of contract estimates and site-specific requirements. Schedule: Friday through Monday, 12:00PM-8:00PM; pay: $21.25.
Required Qualifications
- OSHA 30 hour General Industry course or ability to acquire certification within 30 days of employment.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively delegate and develop team members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure.
- Detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
- Strong Business Acumen.
- Basic knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws and procedures.
- Basic knowledge of wage and hour laws.
- Must have ServSafe Food Manager Certification.
- Must be able to Work a Flexible Work Schedule.
- Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office Package (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
