Job Summary
Lead and manage building custodial operations for Denver Public Schools, serving as the primary liaison for site-based principals on facility issues. Responsibilities include staffing (screening, interviewing, hiring, onboarding), enforcing district policies, coordinating regulatory compliance, overseeing personnel performance and development, handling hearings and investigations as needed, coordinating in-house or contracted emergency/site services 24/7, setting strategic direction for cleaning, grounds care, and minor maintenance, acting as primary contact to campus leadership, delivering quality assurance inspections and reporting, managing campus budgets and purchasing, delivering formal training courses in personnel management and business practices, and maintaining information databases to support department missions. Requires strong communication with administrators, faculty, and multi-site stakeholders, and the ability to ensure physical safety and adherence to safety protocols across assigned facilities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Five or more years of related experience (to include supervisory experience) is required without a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
