Job Summary
Oversee Plant Maintenance operations at American Airlines' largest HUB, directing in-house and contracted facilities maintenance work and supervising organized labor. Manage contract vendors with Tech Ops maintenance management to ensure facilities-related work aligns with company standards and the Facilities Maintenance Manual. Evaluate employees and vendors, review contracts and vendor quotes, initiate and manage repair work orders, review vendor invoices, and support parts procurement and equipment upgrades. Conduct facilities, station, and vendor audits to ensure policy compliance. Travel may be required. Must pass background checks and obtain a SIDA badge if applicable.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalency
- 1 year leadership experience supervising production operation in an area related to heavy/shop maintenance
- Knowledge of HVAC and industrial mechanical systems
- Electrical or HVAC certification
- Must pass a background reference check and criminal fingerprint check
- Must pass a background for SIDA badge, if applicable
