Job Summary
Supervise assigned employees performing environmental work and projects, including building envelope repairs and remediation efforts. Conduct onsite inspections of roofing systems, exterior walls, and windows to identify moisture intrusion or air quality concerns. Administer the District's Hazard Communication and Asbestos Management Programs, ensuring proper labeling, storage, and handling of hazardous materials while maintaining all required documentation. Prioritize work assignments, evaluate employee performance, and provide coaching to ensure facilities remain safe, compliant, and maintained to the highest standards. Respond promptly to campus environmental concerns and coordinate with departmental administrators to resolve issues. Work alternate schedules or overtime as needed for emergency situations.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- Three years of supervisory experience
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to prepare technical reports and presentations
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Knowledge of building structure, materials and ability to read plans & specifications
- Ability to interpret environmental regulations and technical reports
- Good conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems
- Proficient in English (verbal and written)
- Texas Operator's License
- Ability to work alternate work schedules or overtime to respond to emergency situations
- Physical ability to climb buildings and crawl under buildings
- Frequent district wide travel
- Occasional prolonged and irregular hours
- Work indoors and outdoors to conduct onsite inspections
Desired Qualifications
- Mold technician license or equivalent
- Integral knowledge in safety and compliance issues with a concentration in IAQ, HAZCOM and Asbestos; two years' experience
