Job Summary
Analyze project specifications and customer needs to develop practical engineering solutions and produce detailed AutoCAD 2D drawings. Coordinate project activities with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders while providing day-to-day supervision to project support personnel and third-party contractors. Monitor progress to ensure milestones, quality requirements, and delivery deadlines are achieved, and lead technical review meetings with customers and internal teams. Identify and resolve technical issues throughout project delivery, ensuring compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards. Work Monday to Thursday 09.00 – 17.30 and Friday 09.00 – 15.00, with approximately 20% international travel initially, increasing to 40-50% as the role develops.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Mechanical Project Engineering role
- Strong AutoCAD 2D experience
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Experience coordinating project activities, contractors, suppliers or project teams
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in customer-facing situations
- Proactive problem-solving approach with the ability to take ownership of projects
- Demonstrable leadership or supervisory experience
- Willingness to travel internationally
- Degree, HNC/HND, apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification

- Previous workshop experience desirable but not essential
