Job Summary
Lead and supervise a team of City Electricians and Contract Administrators to plan, coordinate, and execute electrical maintenance for municipal facilities. Ensure compliance with ESA and Ontario Electrical Safety Code; manage preventative and demand maintenance, emergency response, and contract administration; mentor staff, oversee procurement processes, monitor SLAs and budgets, and support CMMS data integrity and asset lifecycle planning.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess at least one of the following credentials: Electrical Engineer, Electrical Engineering Technologist, Licensed Journeyperson Electrician (309A), or Master Electrician (ME) License.
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience supervising or leading a maintenance team of certified Electricians, preferably within institutional, municipal, or large facility environments.
- Experience managing or overseeing service contracts and external electrical contractors.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and stakeholders.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for electrical systems.
- Thorough knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (ESA) and related regulations.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Ontario driver's license with an acceptable driving record and access to vehicle during work hours.
- Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies as required.
