Job Summary
Plan and direct the timely execution of engineering assignments while ensuring projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies, objectives, and customer standards. Monitor goals, objectives, and performance standards for assigned team members, leading technical projects or teams through mentoring and supervision. Work interactively with customers and clients to develop strong relationships, research best practices, and propose improvements. Read and understand electrical drawings, apply advanced knowledge of engineering standards, and utilize specialized software tools and programming languages for electrical or automation control system design.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria
- Good communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data
- Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment
- Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills
- Displays leadership characteristics
- Exhibits questioning attitude and practices self-checking
- Advanced proficiency with specialized software tools and programming languages as required by the role
- Electrical or Automation Control system design
- Supervising, mentoring or leading technical personnel
- Leading technical projects or teams
- Reading and understanding electrical drawings
- Understanding of software development (Windows-based and/or PLC code)
