Job Summary
Direct and supervise field planners, engineers, analysts, service coordinators, and clerical staff for electric T&D operations, including overseeing back office processes from design through work order closeout. Provide technical support for service work, trouble calls, safety protocols, and storm restoration while ensuring all activities adhere to internal standards, industry regulations, and approved budgets. Manage annual budgets for electric distribution, review project designs for economic justification, and balance workload across zones to optimize resource allocation. Resolve customer complaints and facilitate proactive interactions with contractors and external customers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience preferred
- Associates Degree with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience
- High School/GED with the completion of the relevant progression program and 10 years relevant experience
- Expert level project and schedule management skills
- Knowledge of Capital and O&M Budgeting
- Knowledge of Construction Principles and Practices
- Knowledge of Operations
- Knowledge of Maintenance
- Knowledge of Safety Standards
- Knowledge of Business Processes
- General understanding of labor work practices
- Ability to use PC desktop applications
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Conceptual thinking: Identifying the key aspects of complex situations and understanding the big picture
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Effective negotiation skills
- Ability to develop employees to enhance personal development and leadership skills
- Must be a citizen of the country of the vacancy to legally work in that country
- Must be able to work outside of their regular schedule/job duties in the event of a system emergency
- Must be able to support NERC Reliability Standards compliance roles and responsibilities including Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) and/or Operations and Planning (O&P)
- Must be able to undergo additional access protections, training, audit engagement, and required evidence retention for NERC Reliability Standards compliance roles
