Job Summary
Supervise downstream purification operations in a 24/7 night-shift area, ensuring efficient daily operations, troubleshooting, and schedule adherence with minimal oversight. Provide direction and hands-on training to staff, manage cross-functional collaboration with Facilities, Validation, MSAT, and Quality, and drive process improvements within a cGMP environment. Responsible for reviewing and contributing to batch records and logbooks, maintaining process knowledge, and supporting documentation changes and change controls. Requires strong leadership, experience with process automation, and ability to translate department goals into actionable objectives. On-site in Novato, CA with night shifts (1800-0700) and vaccination per policy. Skills include risk assessment, quality/compliance focus, and effective communication across manufacturing and support groups.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Applied Physics, etc., or acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4+ years of directly related industry experience, including at least 2+ years with proven leadership role
- Ability to independently manage work, actions and expectations is essential
- Night shift 1800-0700; on-site; MFG area Drug Substance Purification
- Vaccination for COVID-19 per policy unless exempt for medical/religious reasons
