Job Summary
Supervisor, Day Surgery leads pediatric nursing care within a hospital unit, supervising patient care activities, planning assignments for licensed nurses, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure delivery of quality care, and facilitating staff development. The role acts as a clinical resource to unit staff, participates in recruitment and retention of nursing staff, conducts performance appraisals, mentors staff, and collaborates with Advanced Practice Nurses to enhance clinical practice. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, RN license for Wisconsin, BLS certification, and at least 2+ years of pediatric nursing and supervisory experience. Physical requirements include ability to walk/stand for long periods and lift up to 75 pounds. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential, along with commitment to patient safety and hospital policy adherence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- RN license (State of Wisconsin)
- BLS-BHC Healthcare Provider certification
- 2+ years technical experience in pediatric nursing and supervision
- Ability to walk/stand for long periods, lift up to 75 pounds
- Analytical and communication skills
- Licenses and Certifications: BLS, RN (Wisconsin)
