Job Summary
Lead and manage the regional CMM programming operations for Fremont and Livermore plants, serving as liaison to Quality Management to coordinate and drive CMM programming projects; drive quality standards, support CMM programmers, and ensure local plant needs are met for timely CMM programs. Responsibilities include resource allocation, staffing and scheduling, program accuracy and efficiency, program reviews, team development, and interdepartmental communication; promote continuous improvement, establish a culture of quality in the NPD process, analyze quality performance data for leadership, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. Requires a BS in Engineering or Quality discipline (or 6-8 years of related experience), advanced ASME Y14.5 GD&T skills, 6-8 years of manufacturing-quality leadership experience, ability to write technical documentation, parameter extraction from drawings, strong leadership and communication, and knowledge of SPC and Lean/GMP practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in an Engineering or Quality discipline (preferred) or 6-8 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Advanced Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T Techniques
- 6-8 years of demonstrated success leading and managing Quality in a manufacturing or industrial setting (machining, semiconductor equipment, automotive)
- Ability to write technical process documentation
- Ability to extract vital parameters from customer drawings and engineering documents
- Strong leadership, communication and teambuilding skills at all levels of the organization
- Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and manufacturing best practices (Lean, 5S, GMP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
