Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day clinical and consultative practices for the USPS Employee Assistance Program, providing leadership, supervision, and operational oversight to assigned field staff within a designated geographic area. Coordinate communication among Staff Counselors, Provider Counselors, USPS stakeholders, and EAP partners while ensuring compliance with clinical, documentation, privacy, and regulatory requirements. Serve as the primary clinical resource for complex, high-risk, and urgent cases, offering 24/7 consultation, crisis support, and oversight to ensure effective and culturally responsive care. This role requires travel up to 25% and availability across Mountain, Pacific, and Alaska/Hawaii time zones. Candidates must hold a master's or doctorate degree, a current state license, and at least five years of clinical experience. Annual compensation ranges from $85,000 to $100,000 plus discretionary incentives.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of Direct Clinical Supervisory Experience
- at least three years of supervised EAP experience
- experience working in a complex labor-management environment
- understanding of labor relations, union operations and grievance procedures
- licensure or certification in the state where physically located
- adequate knowledge of state laws governing mental health issues and clinical practice
- capability to complete accurate bio-physical assessments, including substance abuse assessments
- specialized experience or training in phone counseling
- knowledge of federal and state laws governing privacy, confidentiality, duty to warn and child and elder abuse reporting requirements
- active driver's license
- ability to be insurable
- availability to support staff in Mountain, Pacific and Alaska/Hawaii time zones
- US Citizenship for at least 5 years
- A master's and/or doctorate degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the corresponding professional association(s) in a clinical mental health field
- A minimum of 5 Years of clinical experience after receiving a graduate degree
- A current state license or state certification to practice as a mental health practitioner
- Authority to practice at the independent level without requiring state-mandated clinical supervision
- Ability to pass background check upon hire and throughout employment
- The ability to undergo a Public Trust background investigation and receive a favorable adjudication
- High-speed internet service (cable or fiber optic) with minimum download Speed of 20 Mbps, Upload Speed of 5 Mbps, and Maximum Latency of 100 milliseconds
