Job Summary
Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate operations and patient care for designated areas while serving as a clinical resource for staff and patients. Perform duties as a staff nurse when needed and execute delegated managerial responsibilities consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Maintain current RN licensure and required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, or NRP. Requires two years of patient care experience, a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, and the ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, and walk for prolonged periods. Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- 2 years' experience in patient care
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization) Six Assessment & Care Modules
- C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
- Other unit-specific certifications as required
