Job Summary
The Supervisor Clinical Dietitian provides day-to-day leadership to Nutrition Services Staff, ensures staffing resources and orientation for new hires, and conducts annual performance evaluations. In addition to leadership duties, the role requires in-depth clinical nutrition expertise to perform MNT for acute inpatients (including enteral and parenteral nutrition) and to guide inpatients and outpatients with culturally diverse therapeutic diets. The position works within UVMMC's Nutrition Services to maintain adherence to defined processes and policies, oversee staff development and resource availability, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient nutrition care.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Nutrition or related field or hold a recognized board certified specialty credential
- registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Vermont State Certification as a dietitian
- Two years relevant clinical experience
- experience in providing MNT to acute inpatients including enteral and parenteral nutrition
- experience in recommending and treating inpatients and outpatients with culturally diverse dietary needs
