Job Summary
Supervisor in the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) Licensing Division to direct and manage process applications for licensing categories, including the new Hotel License category. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day unit operations, supervising staff, developing and implementing internal systems and procedures, performing payments and close-outs, checking records for accuracy, handling intake of applications and related research, coordinating with DCWP General Counsel, backing up other supervisors, coordinating licensing projects and forms, simplifying information for licensees (Hotels), scheduling meetings with stakeholders, conducting complex data searches and QA, prioritizing assignments for special projects, assessing staff performance, and identifying efficiency improvements. Preferred skills include mediation and reconciliation with an understanding of intake and processing procedures.
Required Qualifications
- A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization
- one year of satisfactory clerical experience
