Job Summary
Supervisor at a pet-focused retail store delivering exceptional customer service, supporting store operations, leading front-end activities, product knowledge sharing, and contributing to merchandising and special store events. Responsibilities include guest experience, assisting the Store Manager with operations, maintaining store cleanliness, handling cash and displays, and collaborating with the Retail Management Team. Requires flexible availability including evenings and weekends; physical capability to stand long hours and lift up to 50 pounds; comfortable around various animals; prior supervisory and retail experience preferred. Opportunity for growth, including management training and grooming apprenticeships; hourly wage $15.00-$17.63 depending on state/city minimums.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Passion for extraordinary customer service and the well-being of pets
- Professional retail sales experience preferred
- Professional supervisory experience preferred
- Willingness to be educated about the products and services offered
- Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets
- Excellent communication skills-both verbal and written
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which will require evening and weekend shifts
- Time management and organizational skills
- Must be able to stand 8 hours per day with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be comfortable working with a wide variety of animals including small and large dogs
- Must be able to work around pet hair and dander
