Job Summary
Supervisor CAR-T Cryopreservation leads a team of Medical Technologists Cryopreservation in the central Cryopreservation Center (cCPC) for CAR-T in Beerse, Beerse, Belgium, overseeing day-to-day planning, production targets, quality and regulatory compliance, and shaping team performance. Responsibilities include coaching and developing staff, setting priorities with the Facility Lead Cryopreservation, leading daily meetings and production planning, ensuring training and competency, contributing to audits, CAPAs and change controls, maintaining document control, and collaborating with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Technical Operations, Engineering and Maintenance to meet business needs. The role requires hands-on participation in the production process (including back-up cryo runs), and strong emphasis on empathy, integrity, and attention to detail in a fast-paced, regulated lab environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science or equivalent technical discipline
- minimum of 5 years of work experience
- prior supervisory experience
- Detailed knowledge of Good Tissue Practices (GTP) or Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- experience with cell and gene therapy preferred
- experience in aseptic processing of human cells or blood products a plus
