Job Summary
Oversee the night shift fabrication shop operations to ensure productivity, efficiency, and quality. Manage daily production scheduling and prioritize workflow to meet deadlines. Operate and support brake presses, plasma tables, CNC machinery, and other fabrication equipment. Lead, train, and mentor shop personnel to foster accountability and teamwork. Monitor output and inspect finished products for quality compliance. Troubleshoot downtime and maintain a safe, organized shop. Track material usage and labor productivity to maximize efficiency and reduce waste. Communicate with management and day shift staff to ensure smooth shift transitions and continuity. Support process improvements and best-practice implementation to enhance shop performance.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a fabrication or manufacturing shop environment
- Hands-on experience operating brake presses, CNC equipment, plasma tables, and other fabrication machinery
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specifications
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and lead a team in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes, shop workflow, and production scheduling
