Job Summary
Lead and supervise daily sawmill operations at Beasley Forest Products' Hazlehurst, GA facility. Guide production teams to meet safety, quality, and efficiency goals; ensure compliance with OSHA and NHLA grading requirements; monitor schedules, lumber recovery, downtime, and performance metrics; coordinate with maintenance and other teams to optimize production flow; drive continuous improvement in safety, productivity, quality, and cost reduction; oversee workforce planning, attendance, and performance evaluations; manage housekeeping and safety culture.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of sawmill or wood products manufacturing experience.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of hardwood lumber manufacturing and sawmill processes.
- Knowledge of log breakdown, lumber recovery, grading, and production optimization.
- Ability to read and interpret production reports and operational metrics.
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
- NHLA lumber grading knowledge or certification.
