Job Summary
Develop and deliver aquatics programs and member engagement activities while managing the department's budget. Recruit, train, and mentor staff and volunteers to ensure excellence in customer service, providing direct leadership in program modeling and service standards. Adhere to YMCA policies and procedures, maintaining water and deck equipment through regular usage of cleaning supplies. Act as an ambassador demonstrating core values, diversity, equity, and inclusion in daily operations. Work primarily in pool or pool deck environments under moist, humid conditions, modeling YMCA standards and commitment to service. Requires current National Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR certifications, plus two years of supervisory experience. Start date September 21, 2026, with a salary of $46,200 to $48,000.
Required Qualifications
- Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard - Pool
- Standard First Aid and CPR-C
- Current and acceptable Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- 2 years supervisory experience
