Job Summary
Coordinate and execute day-to-day operations for field construction crews managing underground fiber and utility installation projects. Optimize work hours, assets, and fleet utilization while conducting weekly audits on crew performance and daily equipment inspections. Direct a workforce of approximately 2 to 4 foremen and 2 to 4 crews, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with OSHA standards. Manage material ordering, yard organization, and departmental profitability through cost management and financial statement analysis. Provide leadership, mentoring, and discipline to improve employee performance and prepare staff for additional responsibilities. Travel 10-25% of the time.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5+) plus years of construction experience
- Valid State of Residence Driver's License
- Ability to obtain a valid State of Residence Driver's License within two weeks of employment
- Pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Three (3+) plus years of dry utility (gas) industry experience
- One (1+) plus years of management experience
- An equivalent combination of education and experience
